Saw a variety of doctors all said different things, did not get told what was being tested for or why was waiting - had x rays eventually but wasn’t kept Upto date. Kept being moved around to bed/corridor where paramedics were amazing then to chair, then outside in waiting area on chair then back inside .
No eye contact given, very rushed treatment.
We waited for 3 hours in the wrong place as we were not instructed where to go meaning we sat until we questioned why we hadn't been triaged after asking we was seen quickly and moved around departments to be in the correct place. A plan was made but this was changed without our consent meaning more waiting until the Dr we first saw was able to close the wound and then send us home. I have been waiting for a week for contact to be made from plastics as the wound is not nice and will heal with an ugly scar.
Excellent care . Treated with respect. Did everything they can to look after me.
Care was excellent.
Very helpful staff, everything explained well.
Friendly, relaxed clear on procedures, lovely people (No improvements)
Staff were amazing / Bama went through the procedure and the results of my scan. Riahnan put me at ease chatting to distract me and keep me informed about what was happening. Natasha was quite reasusuring presence/ all were very professional.
Today all staff were amazing, they made me feel less anxious, were very patient and professional. For me I did not see any improvements needed as they used all areas of room to the best of their ability. Nurse Bama Selvaraj, Juliet A Wright, Everlest, Thankyou for making a challenge less of one.
The team made me feel comfortable and at ease.
Before getting my treatment I found the A&E to be awful especially if your really ill no beds to lay or decent chairs to sit on plus younger people like myself had to move for other elderly patients. There needs to be areas or hospitals to deal with the amount of elderly. My hemoglobin was 3.9 so I couldn't stand for long and having to book into A&E there were no seats available think queens have got A&E wrong go back to the way it use to be before covid. When they found me a place to have my treatment the nurses were fantastic and I got my blood transfusions and iron infusion quickly. I was called to the hospital at 7 that night I asked the doctor if it could wait till morning because I had my son at home she told me no you could have a heart attack but by the time I got through the system it was already 4 in the morning I had to wait 9 hours its not good enough I'm afraid. There were patients kicking off because no beds a lady that was sat next to me had been waiting since the morning before for a bed on the ward. It's getting so bad that people will start dropping because the hospital has such a bad reputation
